Hello beautiful people,
For this post, we are going back to basics with one of my favorite piece of clothing: the turtleneck. Mind you, it also one of the oldest piece in my wardrobe!
Just like the LBD (Little Black Dress), to me, the black turtleneck is ESSENTIAL for the autumn/winter season.
Keep scrolling to see how I like to style my black turtleneck this season!
If I wasn’t living in Minnesnowta, this would be my outfit every weekday. I am lucky to work in a pretty casual work environment and this outfit is just perfect to look casual and trendy at the same time.
I paired my turtleneck with a black double-breasted blazer and my favorite Kate Spade rain boots. If I was actually going to work I would have pick a bigger bag; but for this post I just went with my little Aldo beauty.
A kimono in October ?
Kimonos were pretty big this past summer and if you’re not in a hurry to pack them away, a black turtleneck will make it wearable during the colder months.
I paired my turtleneck with a missguided kimono that I got eons ago and I am so glad that I did not get rid of it! “Fashion is in a state of perpetual renewal” they said, so if you like something just hold on to it until it’s time comes again.
- Missguided kimono (very old but similar here)
- Aldo Bag (old)
- Topshop Jamie Jean
- Converse Chuck Taylor
Oh my beret!
Another trendy piece this season: the beret! Audrey was quicker to join the bandwagon on this one. I did not care much for this trend, but I kept seeing it everywhere on Instagram and soon enough I felt like I needed a beret in my life!
To stay on the “trendy” wagon, I paired my turtleneck with a prince of wales check trouser and some black vans. Very instagrammable if you ask me!
